In response, DC faced early setbacks with the loss of Impact Player David Warner and Jake Fraser-McGurk. Shai Hope and skipper Axar Patel provided some resistance, but RCB's bowlers dominated the middle overs. Yash Dayal's impressive spell of 3/20 and Lockie Ferguson's disciplined bowling (2/23) kept DC in check. Swapnil Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and Cameron Green also chipped in with crucial wickets, while RCB's fielding unit executed two run-outs.

Despite Axar Patel's valiant effort with the bat, scoring 57 off 39 balls, DC fell short of the target and were bowled out for 140 in 19.1 overs. RCB's comprehensive victory showcased their dominance in all facets of the game, solidifying their position as strong contenders in the IPL 2024 season.
