Australia continued their dominant run in the T20I series against Pakistan, sealing a comprehensive 7-wicket victory in the third match to complete a series sweep, 3-0. The hosts were clinical in all departments, with a standout bowling performance from Aaron Hardie (3/21) and Adam Zampa (2/11), who bowled Pakistan out for a meager 117 in 18.1 overs.

Pakistan’s captain, Agha Salman, won the toss and opted to bat, but the decision backfired as Hardie and Zampa combined to stifle the Pakistan batting lineup. Babar Azam was the lone fighter, top-scoring with a valuable 41 off 28 balls, while the rest of the Pakistan team struggled to get going. Pakistan’s total was further hindered by a string of middle-order collapses, with none of the lower-order batsmen offering significant resistance.

Shaheen Afridi gave Pakistan some hope by removing Australia’s Matt Short for just 2 runs early in the chase. Jake Fraser-McGurk (18 off 11) added a brief spark but fell to debutant Jahandad Khan in the fourth over, leaving Australia at 32/2.

However, the arrival of Josh Inglis at number 3 steadied the chase. Inglis, who made a solid 27 off 24 balls, added 55 runs for the third wicket with Marcus Stoinis. The Hulk-like Stoinis was the star of the chase, smashing a quick-fire 61* off 27 balls, which included 5 fours and 5 sixes. His explosive hitting destroyed Pakistan's bowling attack, and despite a promising spell from debutant Jahandad Khan (1/17 in 3 overs), the senior pros Shaheen Afridi (1/43 in 3) and Haris Rauf (0/34 in 3) were unable to contain the Aussie all-rounder.

Stoinis’ powerful knock led Australia to victory in just the 12th over, sealing a dominant finish to a series where they outclassed Pakistan in every department. The series win is a testament to Australia’s strength in the shortest format of the game, with standout contributions across both batting and bowling.

The comprehensive series sweep marks a successful campaign for the Australian side, with Pakistan left to reflect on their inability to keep pace with their opponents in all three T20Is.
