England have bolstered their squad for the second Test against West Indies by adding fast bowler Mark Wood. The match, set to begin on Thursday in Nottingham, will see Wood replace veteran James Anderson, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket following England's emphatic innings victory at Lord's.

Wood, who last played a Test in India in March, was not considered for the Lord's match due to his recent participation in the T20 World Cup. His inclusion brings a fresh dynamic to England's bowling attack, which will aim to continue their dominant form against the West Indies.

Captain Ben Stokes will lead a 14-man squad that includes Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Dillon Pennington, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes, and now Mark Wood.
