Mumbai Indians maintain their streak of losing their opening match of IPL since 2012, this time they have been defeated by Gujarat Titans by 6 runs in a thrilling match of TATA IPL 2024. Gujarat Titans has invited to bat first by Hardik Pandya & they made 168 runs for 6 wickets lose, A combine team efforts from GT Batter to post a fighting total. As Sai Sudharsan made 45 runs, Shubman Gill made 31 runs & a cameo came from Rahul Tewatia bat 0f 22 runs off 15 balls. Once again Boom Boom Bumrah shining with ball as he picked up 3 wickets in 4 overs by giving only 14 runs Economic rate of 3.50.

While chasing the decent total Mumbai Indians batter Ishan Kishan departs for duck on Omarzai ball & MI lose early wicket after some over Omarzai strike once again & this time he got wicket of Naman Dhir of 20 runs. Dewald Brevis made 46 runs off 38 balls & he is highest scorer of the match. All GT bowler got 2 wickets except Rashid Khan who get zero wicket & Sai Kishore picked 1 wicket. Omarzai, Umesh Yadav, Spencer Johnson & Mohit Sharma all get 2 wickets each. This is redemption of Umesh Yadav who defend 19 runs off last over against Hardik and he picked up wicket of Hardik and Lead GT to a win by 6 runs & kickstart the IPL 2024 on a winning note.
