New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced the appointment of former BLACKCAPS all-rounder Jacob Oram as the new bowling coach of the BLACKCAPS men's cricket team. Oram will officially join the coaching staff on October 7.

Oram brings a wealth of experience to the role, having played 229 international matches for New Zealand across all three formats. He has also served as a bowling coach for New Zealand A, the WHITE FERNS, and various franchise teams.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the BLACKCAPS bowling attack," Oram said.
"The team has a bright future, and I am excited to work with the players and coaching staff to help them achieve their goals."

NZC GM High Performance Cricket Bryan Stronach praised Oram's appointment.

"Jake's extensive experience as a player and coach makes him an ideal fit for this role," Stronach said. "He has a deep understanding of the game and a proven track record of developing talent."

BLACKCAPS head coach Gary Stead also expressed his enthusiasm for Oram's arrival.

"Jake's knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to our team," Stead said. "He is a respected figure in New Zealand cricket, and I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to our success."

Oram's appointment comes after the departure of Shane Jurgensen from the role earlier this year. The BLACKCAPS will be looking to Oram to help them continue their recent success in international cricket.
