Punjab Kings win over Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets & Punjab Kings start the IPL 2024 with a victory. It was comeback game for Rishabh Pant who is in the field after 454 days. Punjab invite Delhi Capitals to bat after winning the toss & they are able to stop Delhi Capitals at 174 runs for Nine wickets, no one from DC score 40+ runs. PBKS’ disciplined bowling was amazing to watch.

Chasing a target of 175, Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow were off to a fiery start but they departed immediately. Sam Curran, promoted to No. 4, and the impact player Prabhsimran Singh continued the momentum of Punjab Kings on winning line. DC dropped a few chances, and it cost them, Curran was handed a lifeline on 33, while Harpreet Brar was put down by David Warner. Sam Curran made 63 runs after that Khaleel brought Delhi Capitals back in the game with 2 wickets in the 19th over. But Liam Livingstone finished it off by a massive six for Punjab kings. Delhi Capitals missed Ishant Sharma, who walked off due to an ankle injury.
