India Women have won the first WT20I by a huge margin of 44 runs. Nigar Sultana, the Bangladeshi skipper was the only one who put up a fight with a 50 but the rest of the batters, failed to make any notable contributions. As a result India women's take 0-1 lead in 5-Match T20I series.

India Women opted to bat first after winning the toss but couldn't capitalize on the opportunity as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Despite some promising starts from players like Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh, no one managed to convert it into a substantial score. Sajana, making her debut, could only muster 11 runs. The disciplined bowling from Bangladesh Women restricted India to a total of 145/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Bangladesh Women's bowling unit performed admirably, with Rabeya Khan leading the charge with figures of 3/23. Marufa Akter also contributed with two wickets, while Trisna and Fahima Khatun chipped in with one wicket each. The team effort from the bowlers ensured that India couldn't build a substantial total.

In response, Bangladesh Women faced a disastrous start, losing wickets early on, including in the very first over of their innings. Despite Murshida Khatun's brief resistance, the team struggled during the powerplay, losing crucial wickets. Nigar Sultana and Shorna Akter attempted to stabilize the innings, but the pressure of the mounting run rate proved too much. Eventually, the spin trio of Shreyanka, Deepti, and Radha Yadav wreaked havoc on the Bangladesh Women's batting lineup, securing the win for India Women.

Renuka Thakur stood out among the Indian bowlers with 3 wickets, while Pooja Vastrakar also made significant contributions with two wickets. The spinners, namely Shreyanka, Deepti, and Radha, were particularly impressive, maintaining a tight grip on the game during the middle overs and creating immense pressure on the Bangladesh batters. Overall, it was a comprehensive team effort from India Women, both with the bat and ball, which ultimately secured their victory.
