Chamari Athapaththu's 63 off 48 balls and Anushka Sanjeewani's unbeaten 24 guided Sri Lanka to a thrilling three-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Women's Asia Cup semi-final. 

This victory sets up a repeat of the previous final against India on Sunday in Dambulla.

Chasing 141, Sri Lanka stumbled early but Athapaththu steadied the ship with key partnerships, including a crucial 42-run stand with Sanjeewani. Sadia Iqbal’s 4 for 16 posed challenges, but Sanjeewani’s composure saw Sri Lanka home with a ball to spare.

Earlier, Pakistan posted 140 for 4, led by Muneeba Ali's 37 and Gull Feroza's 25. Udeshika Prabodhani and Kavisha Dilhari each took two wickets, slowing Pakistan’s momentum. Fatima Sana’s late 23 off 17 provided a lift, but Sri Lanka's bowlers kept control.

In a dramatic chase, Sri Lanka’s captain Athapaththu notched her 11th T20I fifty. Despite Iqbal’s efforts to turn the game in Pakistan's favor, Sanjeewani's experience ensured Sri Lanka's victory, overcoming a tense final over to secure a place in the final against India.
