In a momentous occasion, Nepal Women secured their first-ever win in the Women's Asia Cup, defeating UAE Women by six wickets. After an eight-year hiatus, Nepal marked their return with a stellar performance, driven by a sensational knock from Samjhana Khadka. Khadka's unbeaten 72 off 45 balls anchored the chase, with Puja Mahato providing steady support to finish unbeaten on 7.

Nepal's innings began with Khadka dominating the powerplay, unleashing a flurry of boundaries that left the UAE bowlers under immense pressure. Veteran Magar struggled at the other end, scoring 7 off 17 balls before falling while attempting a big shot. Kunwar also had a brief, unproductive stay, dismissed by UAE's Egodage, who was the standout bowler with three wickets.

Captain Indu Barma joined Khadka, and together they guided Nepal to 66/2 at the halfway stage, keeping the chase firmly in their grasp. Despite Egodage's efforts and Keny's wicket, UAE's bowlers were unable to contain Khadka's onslaught.

This historic victory, led by Khadka's heroics, will be cherished by Nepal Women for years to come.
