Entry free for fans in Women's Asia Cup 2024, Sri Lanka


The much-anticipated Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 will kick off on July 19, 2024, at the RDICS, Dambulla, featuring teams from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand. This premier tournament is a significant event in women’s cricket in the Asian region.

The teams are divided into two groups: India, Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal in Group A, and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand in Group B. The competition will feature 15 matches, including two semi-finals and the final.

On the opening day, UAE will face Nepal at 2 p.m., followed by a high-stakes clash between India and Pakistan at 7 p.m. Sri Lanka’s campaign begins on July 20th against Bangladesh at 7 p.m.

Ravin Wickramaratne, Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket, has been appointed as the Tournament Director. “Sri Lanka Cricket, with the support of the Asian Cricket Council, aims to conduct a highly successful tournament, advancing women’s cricket on the world stage,” said Wickramaratne.

All matches will be broadcast live internationally, and spectators can enjoy free entry to the stadium to witness the exciting action.
