Thailand Women maintained their unbeaten run against Malaysia Women with a 22-run victory in the Women's Asia Cup.

Thaipatcha Puttawong became the youngest captain to lead a side to win in the tournament. After winning the toss, Thailand elected to bat first, with wicketkeeper N Koncharoenkai top-scoring with 40. Despite losing Nannaphat Chaihan for a duck and skipper Puttawong for 9, Phannita Maya’s 29 and unbeaten contributions from Khiaoto (14) and Kanoh (13) helped Thailand post 133/6. Malaysia’s Ismail impressed with 3/16.

Chasing 134, Malaysia’s openers put on a solid 68-run stand, but their batting order crumbled after Winifred Duraisingam's dismissal in the 12th over. Wan Julia fought valiantly with a 52 off 53 balls, but with wickets falling around her, Malaysia fell short, finishing at 111/6. Onnicha Kamchomphu led Thailand’s bowling attack with 2/20, while Chanida Sutthiruang, Nattaya Boochatham, Thipatcha Putthawong, and Suleeporn Laomi each took a wicket, securing the win.
