Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the remainder of the ODI series after suffering a left hamstring injury. The injury occurred during the first ODI, as Hasaranga experienced discomfort while delivering the last ball of his 10th over. An MRI scan subsequently confirmed the injury.

In light of this development, Sri Lanka has called up leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay to join the squad as Hasaranga's replacement. This change is expected to impact the team's dynamics, given Hasaranga's significant contributions with both bat and ball.

The Sri Lankan cricket board and team management are hopeful for Hasaranga's speedy recovery and look forward to his return to full fitness. Vandersay's inclusion aims to bolster the spin attack as the team navigates through the rest of the series.
