The rain continued to disrupt the one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand, with the entire third day's play abandoned without a ball being bowled. This marks the third consecutive day lost to weather, heightening concerns that the entire match could be washed out.

The first two days were called off due to a wet outfield, raising questions about the venue's preparedness to host the Test match. Despite efforts to prepare the ground, inclement weather forced officials to abandon play early on Wednesday, with no toss yet conducted.

In an official release, the Afghanistan Cricket Board stated, "Afghanistan versus New Zealand Day 3 is called off due to persistent rains. The match will commence with 98 overs from tomorrow if the skies get clear."

As of now, fans remain hopeful for a break in the weather for the remaining days of the Test.
