In a thrilling encounter at the IPL 2024, the Gujarat Titans showcased their prowess by securing a commanding seven-wicket victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Asking to bowl first, the Titans' bowling attack put up a disciplined performance, restricting SRH to 162 runs. Despite several batters getting starts, none managed to convert them into substantial scores on the slightly two-paced surface. Notable contributions came from Abdul Samad and Abhishek Sharma, both scoring 29, guiding SRH past the 150-run mark. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad were standout performers for SRH in the middle overs, while Mohit Sharma proved challenging in the death overs.

In pursuit of 163, GT's skipper Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha provided a solid start but fell within the first 10 overs. Despite SRH's tight bowling, an impactful performance by Impact Substitute Sai Sudharsan and David Miller, especially targeting Mayank Markande in the 16th over, tilted the scales in GT's favor. Although Pat Cummins managed to dismiss Sudharsan, Miller's determined effort, despite battling a leg issue, guided the Titans to victory.
