In a high-octane clash at the iconic Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) once again asserted their dominance over the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), clinching a sensational victory in a match filled with breathtaking moments and outstanding performances.

Batting first, KKR set a formidable target of 222 runs, thanks to a blistering start provided by Phil Salt's explosive innings. The Englishman's 48 off just 14 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes, set the tone for KKR's innings. Sunil Narine, although struggling for timing, combined with Salt to add quick runs. However, it was Shreyas Iyer's classy half-century (50 off 36) supported by contributions from Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh that propelled KKR to a massive total.

RCB's chase began aggressively with Virat Kohli firing from the start, but his departure for 18 off 7 balls left a void in RCB's innings. Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar steadied the ship with brilliant half-centuries, putting RCB in a commanding position. However, Andre Russell's devastating spell turned the tide in KKR's favor as he picked up crucial wickets to dent RCB's progress.

As the match approached its climax, the pendulum swung wildly. Karn Sharma's late onslaught threatened KKR's hold on the game, but Mitchell Starc's nerveless performance in the final over secured a nail-biting victory for KKR by just one run. Starc's crucial wicket of Karn Sharma in the penultimate ball, coupled with Lockie Ferguson's run-out off the final delivery, sealed the thrilling win for KKR.

Andre Russell emerged as the hero with both bat and ball, bagging three crucial wickets, while Harshit Rana and Sunil Narine provided valuable support with their bowling efforts. Mitchell Starc and Varun Chakaravarthy also made impactful contributions with the ball, ensuring KKR's triumph in this last-ball thriller.
