The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that India and Bangladesh will host the next two editions of the Asia Cup.

According to the Invitation for Expression of Interest (IEOI) from the ACC for sponsorship rights, the 2025 and 2027 Asia Cups will be held in these two cricket-loving nations.

India, the most successful team in the competition's history with eight titles, is the defending champion and will host the 2025 edition. This will be only the second time India hosts the Asia Cup, with the first being in 1990 when they emerged victorious against Sri Lanka in the final. The 2025 tournament will be played in the T20 format, aligning with the global schedule that includes the T20 World Cup in 2026.

Bangladesh, known for its passionate cricket fans and vibrant atmosphere, will host the 2027 edition of the Asia Cup. This tournament will be played in the ODI format, considering the 50-over World Cup scheduled in South Africa that year. Both the 2025 and 2027 editions will feature 13 matches each.

In addition to the regular participants – India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan – a sixth team will be included, determined through a qualifying tournament. This ensures a competitive and diverse lineup, promising thrilling matches for cricket enthusiasts around the world.
