India Women ensured their place in the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup with a commanding 78-run victory over UAE.

Batting first, India posted their highest-ever T20I total of 201 for 5, thanks to Harmanpreet Kaur's 66 and a blistering 29-ball 64* from Richa Ghosh. Harmanpreet and Ghosh's efforts helped India recover from a shaky 52 for 3 inside the powerplay, with Ghosh hitting 12 fours and a six.

UAE's bowlers, led by Kavisha Egodage's 2 for 36, struggled to contain India's onslaught.

In response, UAE managed 123 for 7, with captain Esha Oza scoring 36 and Egodage contributing 40*. Despite a solid start, UAE faltered, losing wickets at regular intervals. Renuka Singh Thakur and Deepti Sharma struck early, while debutant Tanuja Kanwar impressed with 1 for 14.

The win not only bolstered India's semi-final hopes but also showcased their depth and resilience, with both the middle order and bowlers stepping up. UAE's efforts were commendable, but they face an uphill battle to stay in the tournament.
