India Women Level Series with Commanding 10-Wicket Win Over South Africa

India Women wrapped up their all-format series against South Africa Women in emphatic style, securing a 10-wicket victory in the third and final T20I to level the series 1-1. The second match was abandoned due to rain, making this the decisive game.

After opting to bowl first, India delivered a stellar performance, dismissing the Proteas for just 84 runs in 17.1 overs. South Africa struggled against the disciplined Indian attack, with only Tazmin Brits (20 off 23), Marizanne Kapp (10 off 8), and Anneke Bosch (17 off 14) managing to reach double figures.

Pooja Vastrakar led the charge, achieving her career-best T20I figures of 4/13 in 3.1 overs. Radha Yadav also shone, taking 3/6 in her three overs, while Shreyanka Patil, Arundhati Reddy, and Deepti Sharma each claimed a wicket. The Indian fielding was top-notch, highlighted by several excellent catches.

In response, Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma showcased their dominance, chasing down the target of 85 in just 10.5 overs. Verma scored 27 off 25 balls, including three fours. Mandhana, who began the series with a century in the ODI leg, capped off the series with an unbeaten 50 off 40 balls, featuring eight fours and two sixes.

South Africa's bowlers struggled to make an impact, with only Marizanne Kapp impressing in her two overs, conceding just three runs. India's comprehensive victory marks their biggest T20I win against South Africa in terms of balls remaining.
