Ireland ended their first innings at 250, achieving a 40-run lead over Zimbabwe on the second day of the match.

Opening the second innings strongly, Peter Moor and skipper Andy Balbirnie added 71 runs before Balbirnie was dismissed for 19. Curtis Campher followed shortly, contributing just 8 runs. Moor's impressive 79, his first fifty in Ireland colors, was the standout performance, although his dismissal by Blessing Muzarabani marked the start of a collapse.

Lorcan Tucker departed for a golden duck, and Harry Tector managed only 4 runs. Paul Stirling fought briefly with a 63-ball 22 but fell to Sean Williams. Ireland struggled at 203 for 9, but Andy McBrine and Matthew Humphreys staged a crucial recovery, pushing the total to 250. McBrine scored 28 while Humphreys remained unbeaten on 27.

Zimbabwe’s bowling attack was led by Muzarabani and Tanaka Chivanga, both taking 3 wickets each, with Tendai Chatara and Sean Williams claiming two apiece.

In response, Zimbabwe's openers Joylord Gumbie and Price Masvaure survived the 4-over session, scoring 12 runs. Gumbie remains not out on 7, and Masvaure is unbeaten on 4. Zimbabwe trails by 28 runs, setting the stage for an intriguing continuation.
