Australia A Women Cruise to 8-Wicket Victory Over India A Women, Led by Maddy Darke’s Unbeaten Century

Australia A Women secured a commanding 8-wicket victory over India A Women in the second match of the India A Women's tour of Australia in Mackay on August 16, 2024. 

India A, opting to bat first, struggled to build momentum, posting 218 in 48 overs. Tejal Hasabnis (63 off 86) and Raghvi Bist (70 off 93) provided stability, but the lower order faltered. 

Australia's bowlers, led by Maitlan Brown (2/36) and Nicola Hancock (2/27), kept the pressure on, with Charli Knott and Grace Parsons chipping in with key wickets.

Chasing 219, Australia A Women started confidently, with Katie Mack (68 off 78) and Maddy Darke (106* off 115) putting on a solid 131-run opening partnership. Despite losing Mack, Darke anchored the innings, guiding her team to victory with 58 balls remaining. 

Tahlia McGrath (32* off 26) provided the finishing touch. India A's bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, with Sayali Satghare (1/41) and Tanuja Kanwar (1/43) managing the only breakthroughs.
