England Men have named their XI for the first Rothesay Test against Sri Lanka, set to begin on Wednesday, 21 August, at Emirates Old Trafford. With Ben Stokes sidelined due to a hamstring injury and Zak Crawley out with a finger injury, Ollie Pope will lead the team as captain, supported by Harry Brook, who steps up as vice-captain.

Matthew Potts returns to the side after a year, filling the pace bowling spot, while Surrey’s Dan Lawrence will open the batting in Crawley’s absence. Jamie Smith is the designated wicketkeeper.
