Australia A Women secured a 4-wicket victory over India A Women in the first match of the India A Women tour of Australia on August 14, 2024, at Mackay.

 India A Women posted a competitive total of 249/9 in their 50 overs, with Raghvi Bist leading the charge with 82 off 102 balls. Tejal Hasabnis contributed a solid 53, while Minnu Mani added 27 runs. Maitlan Brown was the star with the ball for Australia A Women, claiming 4 wickets for 23 runs, while Nicola Hancock chipped in with 2 wickets.

Chasing 250, Australia A Women were propelled by an outstanding knock from Katie Mack, who scored a match-winning 129 off 126 balls. 

Despite losing early partners, Mack's resilience was supported by Tahlia McGrath’s crucial 56, as the pair added 122 runs for the third wicket. Meghna Singh provided a breakthrough for India A, picking up 2 wickets, but it wasn't enough to stop Australia A from reaching the target with 18 balls to spare. 

Mani also claimed 2 wickets, but Australia A's composed chase handed them the victory and a 1-0 lead in the series.
