India C's pace duo of Anshul Kamboj and Vijaykumar Vyshak exploited the helpful pitch to run through the India D batting lineup. However, Patel's counter-attacking innings, which included 11 fours and two sixes, provided a much-needed boost to the India D total.
In addition to his impressive batting performance, Patel also picked up two crucial wickets with the ball, helping India D make inroads into the India C batting lineup. Patel's all-round show has undoubtedly made him a standout performer in the Duleep Trophy.
