The India Women’s cricket team is set to undergo a 10-day skills camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, starting on September 10, as they prepare for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE. Head coach Amol Muzumdar will oversee the camp, which will feature a full-strength squad along with reserves.

Among the players attending are wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia and all-rounder Shreyanka Patil, both of whom have recently recovered from injuries. Bhatia, recovering from a knee injury sustained in March, and Patil, who suffered a finger fracture during the Asia Cup in July, have cleared their fitness tests and will participate in the camp after receiving medical clearance from the NCA.

The camp will feature rigorous training sessions and a couple of intra-squad matches to fine-tune the players' skills ahead of the World Cup. However, these games are expected to be day matches due to the unavailability of key venues like the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the Alur facility.

Following the camp, the players will enjoy a short four-day break before reassembling in Mumbai to depart for the UAE on September 24. India is set to play two warm-up matches, against West Indies on September 29 and South Africa on October 1, both at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

India will kick off their World Cup campaign on October 4 against New Zealand in Dubai, followed by group stage matches against Pakistan (October 6), South Africa (October 9), and defending champions Australia in Sharjah on October 13.

India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will be aiming to improve on their runners-up finish in the 2020 edition of the tournament.
