England claimed a comprehensive 275-run victory over Ireland in the second ODI in Belfast, securing the series with one match to spare.

Tammy Beaumont was the star of the show, smashing an unbeaten 150 off 139 balls, helping England post a commanding 320-8 in their 50 overs. Beaumont’s century was her 10th in ODIs, making her the most prolific Englishwoman in this format.

Ireland, in response, crumbled to their lowest-ever ODI total, being bowled out for just 45 runs in 16.5 overs. England’s bowlers, led by captain Kate Cross (3-8) and Lauren Filer (3-10), tore through Ireland’s batting lineup, leaving the hosts in tatters at 8-4 within the first four overs.

Freya Kemp, who contributed a blistering 65 from 47 balls with the bat, also impressed with the ball, claiming two wickets alongside debutant Georgia Davis (2-19).

Ireland’s only resistance came from opener Una Raymond-Hoey, who scored 22, but the rest of the team failed to reach double figures in what was a one-sided affair. This victory marks England’s biggest win in ODIs in terms of runs and sees them take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The third and final ODI will take place on Wednesday at the same venue before the teams head to Dublin for a three-match T20I series.
