England Women dominated the second ODI against Pakistan Women at County Ground, Chelmsford, cruising to a comfortable 178-run victory and securing a convincing 2-0 series win.

England Bat First, Post Competitive Total

Electing to bat first, England navigated a tricky opening spell with Tammy Beaumont struggling against the helpful bowling conditions. Maia Bouchier, however, kept the scoreboard ticking with some lusty blows. The middle overs saw a mini-collapse with Pakistan's seamers taking two quick wickets. But a crucial partnership between Danielle Wyatt and Natalie Sciver-Brunt revived the innings. Wyatt fell just short of a fifty, while Sciver-Brunt anchored the innings with a composed and determined knock.

Sciver-Brunt, Jones Partnership Takes England to Strong Total

Sciver-Brunt then found another able ally in Amy Jones. The duo added a fluent 66 runs, setting a strong platform for the death overs. Alice Capsey, after surviving a close LBW call, joined Sciver-Brunt in an unbeaten 87-run stand to propel England to a formidable total of 302/5. Sciver-Brunt, the backbone of the innings, was involved in all the key partnerships.

Pakistan Crumble in Reply, Nida Dar Injured

Pakistan's chase never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. The highest partnership for the visitors was a mere 39 runs for the fifth wicket between Najiha Alvi and Muneeba Ali. Muneeba top-scored with 47 runs, while Aliya Riaz chipped in with a 36. Sophie Ecclestone was the pick of the England bowlers, picking up three wickets for just 15 runs.

Pakistan's woes were compounded by a hamstring injury to captain Nida Dar, who was unable to bat in the second innings. This sealed the deal for England, who bundled out Pakistan for a paltry 124 runs, securing a dominant 178-run victory and wrapping up the series 2-0.
