In a thrilling T20 encounter, Pakistan Women's cricket team displayed a stellar performance to secure their first win against West Indies Women in the series. The match, held at a gripping venue, witnessed Pakistan's dominance with both bat and ball, ultimately resulting in a convincing 8-wicket victory.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Pakistan's bowlers came out with fire, restricting the West Indies Women's team to just 84/9 in their allotted 20 overs. This total marked a significant achievement as it became West Indies Women's lowest total against Pakistan Women in WT20 history, surpassing their previous lowest of 90 runs.

The early blows for West Indies Women came as skipper Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph fell quickly, leaving the visitors reeling at 14/2 within just three overs. Despite a promising effort from Shemaine Campbelle, who scored 26 runs off 20 balls, the West Indies innings struggled to gain momentum. Zaida James contributed 19 runs, and Jannillea Glasgow added 10 runs, but the rest of the batters failed to reach double digits.

Pakistan's bowling attack, led by standout performances from Sadia Iqbal (3/18) and Captain Nida Dar (3/19), proved to be too much for the West Indies lineup to handle.

In response, Pakistan got off to a flying start, with Sidra Ameen showcasing her strokeplay before being dismissed for 15 runs off 12 deliveries. However, Ayesha Zafar anchored the innings superbly, remaining unbeaten on 42 runs off 48 deliveries to guide Pakistan to victory. Gull Feroza's unbeaten 21 off 24 balls further bolstered Pakistan's successful chase.

This win holds special significance for Pakistan Women, as it comes after a string of losses in both the WODIs and WT20Is during the tour. Their all-round performance in this match, with exemplary batting and disciplined bowling, highlights their resilience and determination.

While West Indies Women had already secured the series, they will undoubtedly be disappointed with their performance in this match, especially considering the missed opportunities in the field with several dropped catches.
