England Announce XI for First Men's Test Against West Indies at Lord's

England have named their XI for the first Rothesay Men's Test against the West Indies at Lord's, starting on 10 July. Debutants Gus Atkinson and Jamie Smith from Surrey, and Somerset spinner Shoaib Bashir, set for his first home Test, are included. Chris Woakes returns for his first Test since last summer's Ashes series.
The team features Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (C), Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, and James Anderson. This blend of youth and experience aims to tackle the West Indies challenge.
