Afghanistan Cricket Board Appoints India's Ramakrishnan Sridhar as Assistant Coach for New Zealand Test and South Africa ODIs

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed Indian coach Ramakrishnan Sridhar as the Assistant Coach of the national team for the upcoming one-off Test match against New Zealand and a three-match ODI series against South Africa.

Sridhar, 54, brings a wealth of experience, having played 35 first-class and 15 List A matches in Indian domestic cricket. He served as India's national team Fielding Coach in over 300 international matches, including two ICC ODI and T20I World Cups. Additionally, he was the Spin Bowling Coach for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League from 2014 to 2017.

A Level-3 certified coach, Sridhar has also contributed to the Indian U19 national team and the National Cricket Academy in various coaching roles. The ACB expressed confidence in Sridhar's ability to fill the role effectively and hinted at the potential for a long-term contract in the future.
