Barinder Sran, the left-arm fast bowler, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 31-year-old represented India in a limited number of international matches but has been absent from the national team in recent years.

In a statement released on social media, Sran expressed his gratitude for the opportunities and experiences he gained during his cricketing career. While his international stint was relatively brief, he cherished the memories and expressed appreciation for the support he received from coaches and management.

Sran's journey to international cricket was unconventional. Starting as a boxer, he was drawn to cricket after seeing a Kings XI Punjab advertisement. Despite not getting an IPL contract initially, his talent was recognized, and he eventually made his way into the Indian team.

His ODI debut in Australia was a memorable one, where he took three wickets in his first match. He also made a significant impact in the T20I series against Zimbabwe, earning the Player-of-the-Match award in one of the games.

Sran's retirement marks the end of a career that saw him play for several IPL franchises and contribute to domestic cricket. While his international career was short-lived, his journey serves as an inspiration to many aspiring cricketers.
