England Women Announces Squad for T20 World Cup 2024

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates in October.

Heather Knight will once again lead the English contingent, marking her fourth appearance as captain in a T20 World Cup. The squad features a familiar core from the team that faced New Zealand in a recent T20I series, with the addition of promising young talents Bess Heath, Freya Kemp, and Danielle Gibson.

While Lauren Filer has been excluded from the final 15, she will join the squad for a preparatory camp in Abu Dhabi from September 13th to 24th.

England is placed in Group B and will face Bangladesh in their opening match on October 5th. They will also play South Africa, Scotland, and West Indies during the group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.
