Ireland Women secured a thrilling 15-run win over Sri Lanka Women in the second WODI, clinching the series 2-0 with one match remaining.
Batting first, Ireland posted a formidable 255/5, thanks to Amy Hunter's solid 66 off 71 balls and a crucial 114-run stand between Leah Paul and Rebecca Stokell. Achini Kulasuriya (2/48) and Kavisha Dilhari (2/35) were the standout bowlers for Sri Lanka.
In response, Sri Lanka faltered despite a resilient 126-run partnership between Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari. Samarawickrama's brilliant 105 off 124 balls (She becomes the third Sri Lankan Women to score a 100.) anchored the chase, but her unfortunate run-out at a critical juncture triggered a collapse from 172/2 to 214/9. Nilakshi de Silva's late efforts were in vain as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 240.
