England Women triumphed over New Zealand Women in the final match of the series, securing a comprehensive 3-0 whitewash with a five-wicket victory. The hosts showcased their dominance across all departments, underlining their superiority.

After being put in to bat, New Zealand lost Georgia Plimmer early due to a direct hit from Charlie Dean. Despite the setback, Suzie Bates and Amelia Kerr stabilized the innings. Bates scored 24 off 33 balls, while Kerr anchored the innings with a well-crafted 57 from 82 balls, featuring five boundaries. Sophie Devine contributed a brisk 43 off 43 deliveries, but after Maddy Green’s dismissal, the visitors struggled to build momentum. Kerr and Brooke Halliday’s 65-run partnership provided some respite, but the lower order failed to capitalize, resulting in a total of 211 in 42 overs.

Lauren Bell starred with the ball for England, claiming a career-best 5 for 37, supported by Kate Cross with two wickets.

Chasing 212, England faced early hiccups as Tammy Beaumont fell in the first over and skipper Heather Knight managed only 9 runs. Maia Bouchier added a steady 19, but it was the partnership between Natalie Sciver-Brunt and Sophia Dunkley that steadied the innings. Dunkley departed for 15, but Sciver-Brunt’s experience shone through as she anchored the chase.

Amy Jones scored a crucial 50 off 50 balls, contributing to a 90-run stand with Sciver-Brunt. Alice Capsey joined the effort, remaining unbeaten on 35 off 30 balls. Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten 76 guided England to victory with five wickets in hand.

For New Zealand, Hannah Rowe was the standout bowler with 2 for 38, while Penfold, Kerr, and Halliday took a wicket each.
