Herath, renowned for his exceptional ability to extract spin and bounce from the pitch, will lend his expertise to the BLACKCAPS' spin bowling department, particularly to Ajaz Patel, Mitchell Santner, and Rachin Ravindra. His vast experience, including over 100 Test wickets at Galle, will be invaluable as the team prepares for the upcoming series in Sri Lanka.
Rathour, a former Indian Test batsman and a recent member of the Indian national coaching staff under Rahul Dravid, will join the BLACKCAPS for the Noida Test. His knowledge of Indian conditions and his ability to nurture batting talent will undoubtedly benefit the BLACKCAPS' batting lineup.
BLACKCAPS coach Gary Stead expressed his enthusiasm for the additions to the coaching staff. "We're thrilled to have Rangana and Vikram join our team," he said.
