India clinched a 23-run victory over Zimbabwe, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.

Opting to bat first, India posted a challenging total of 182, led by captain Shubman Gill's 66 and Ruturaj Gaikwad's quickfire 49 off 28 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 36 on his series debut, while Blessing Muzarabani and Sikandar Raza each claimed two wickets for Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe's chase started poorly with early wickets from Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. Despite a valiant unbeaten 65 from Dion Myers and a solid 37 from Clive Madande, Zimbabwe fell short at 159/6. Washington Sundar was India's standout bowler, taking 3/15 and earning the Player of the Match award.

Indian captain Shubman Gill praised his team's all-round performance and the bowlers' execution on a tricky surface. Washington Sundar expressed his delight in contributing to India's success. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza lamented fielding lapses and inconsistent opening partnerships as areas needing improvement.

The teams will meet again for the fourth T20I, with India looking to seal the series and Zimbabwe aiming to bounce back.
