A thrilling day of Test cricket came to a close on Sunday as Pakistan extended their lead to just 21 runs over Bangladesh. The hosts, who had earlier been in a commanding position, were forced to fight back after a resilient batting display from the Tigers.

Bangladesh resumed their second innings on 10/0, but a flurry of wickets in the morning session left them reeling at 26/6. However, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz staged a remarkable recovery, adding 165 runs for the seventh wicket. Miraz fell just before the tea break, but Das continued his impressive form and scored a century, eventually being dismissed for 138. Hasan Mahmud remained unbeaten as Bangladesh were all out for 262, falling 12 runs short of Pakistan's first innings total.

Khurram Shahzad was the star of the show for Pakistan, claiming six wickets. Mir Hamza and Agha Salman also chipped in with two wickets each. In response, Pakistan's openers struggled, with Abdullah Shafique being dismissed for just 3 and nightwatchman Khurram Shahzad being bowled in the final delivery of the day.

Pakistan now have a slender lead of 21 runs with two wickets down. The fourth day of the Test match promises to be another exciting contest as both teams battle for victory.
